Virginian's For Safer Cannabis will lobby the Virginia General Assembly asking for Safeguards and Inclusion on the pending Adult Use Marijuana Bill that has passed twice. The previous Governor vetoed the earlier bill, the Governor Elect has signaled that she will sign the bill when it is passed in 2026. That being the case, groups are lobbying ther general assembly on key issues that need to be addressed in the new bill. Safety for Children who will have greater access to Cannabis, equal and equitable inclusion of minorities entrepreneurs and growers n the sale and distribution of Cannabis, and distribution of the profits to neighborhoods and community organizations that have been historically and unfairly impacted by the over enforcement and criminalization of Cannabis possession. Any and everyone who wants to have their voice heard is invited to participate.
